Trashy shows that promote trashy values: Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, Glee

The Fox Network promotes "Conservative" shows like O'Reilly and Hannity yet have trashy shows like the Family Guy and Glee along with a ton of others! Are they funny? Are they entertaining? Yes! But the message they promote is what is wrong, they promote promiscuity, perversion, violence, and flat out indecency.
This dual sided network is on the only side that counts: money.
We should not support these kind of programs. They are aimed also at kids to promote the fairness without any morals, We see this with "conservative" talk show hosts. A particular host boasts of conservative values yet promotes an article of himself in Playboy magazine! See what I am talking about? He even reads the Old Testament at times!

He had Jerry Farewell on his radio show several years back, then the next day scoffed at Jerry Farewell because he was promoting Jesus Christ as the only true way to God the Father, saying about him to get off my show!

We don't need this kind of "help or support". This radio host believes all faiths point to God, like some kind of big chariot wheel.
You are either on one side or on the other, you can't ride the middle, we can falter on our faith at times.

Just because someone is on TV or is anyone in the public eye doesn't make them anyone. They may have a radio show, a TV show, maybe they have a band (all vain thrones!) They don't have and will never have anything to undermine our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Tragically this is very common in our society. Films promoting dual values are here to stay, what we need to do is boycott these shows and find wholesome entertainment.
Keeping our minds sharp in the Bible is essential, all of the propaganda from Hollywood is nearly always out to under mind our faith. If enough of us do this then Hollywood would get the picture of the kind of entertainment we want. Money is their language. I'm not going to wait on them changing but go on and do the Lord's work: promoting the Gospel and encouraging brothers and sisters in the faith of Jesus Christ.
The internet is a great tool but has a huge dark edge too.
The bottom line is we are responsible for our actions, the saying that "the devil made me do it" won't stick.
Recognize we are evil to the core and need to keep ourselves in check. We tune in to the Lord's work in the world, we find for ourselves wholesome entertainment, music and art. Support wholesome comedy too. We need to laugh and and be part of society, we need to be in the world but not of it.
Most shows promote some kind of underlying message to conform to the world's values. Keeping versed in Scripture is never a waste of time.
Turning off our minds and continually watching shows and movies do nothing for our well being.
Think of those bins in the supermarket with all the discounted movies, some of those films were promoted as so brilliant, some very obscene and demonic in nature, yet there, they are all those people who worked and starred on those movies are a mere memory, a wasted life instead of a greater life promoting the Lord's work and love in this world. That is what counts! Use your talents for Jesus.
