Ken Ham (www.answersingenesis.org) commenting on Michael Moore’s new movie
The planet is not God, Michael! If it's a warning, it's a warning from God because of all the wickedness and rebellion against His Word.
There's no such thing as "mother nature"—Michael is making nature his god. At the same time, he's blaspheming the true God as he takes His name in vain. Moore states "You do understand that this planet can remove all of us in the snap of its fingers?"
I guarantee 100% it can't, Michael. Only God can do that, and he will at the time he chooses.
And you're not ready for that, Michael, but you need to be. I pray God will open your hardened heart to the truth.
Of course, I know you say all these things to promote your doomsday movie. But, here's the "doomsday" account you need to be telling people about and you need to get ready for:
"But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
"Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace . . . take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity" (2 Peter 3: 10-18).
