Both my father Billy Graham and my mother attended Wheaton College in Illinois–in fact that's where they met. I'm surprised and disappointed that the faculty council there is now recommending the college drop their plans to terminate a professor who published that she believed Islam and Christianity worship the same God in December. This is no minor issue that should be debated. Islam denies that God has a Son. They deny that Jesus is God. They do not believe in a Triune God–the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I can tell you–Islam and Christianity clearly do not worship the same God. How the faculty council can now support this professor being allowed to teach students is deeply concerning.
Jesus said to them,"Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM."

From answers in Genesis Ken Ham
New CBS TV Show Mocks Christianity
by Ken Ham on January 23, 2016
It’s no surprise when the media mocks Christianity. It’s a fairly common
theme in TV programs and movies. Well, the American television company
CBS has a new TV show that does just that. Just the trailer for this new
show, Angel from Hell, the story of a brash “guardian angel” and her charge, is distasteful and shows no reverence for Christian beliefs. Use discretion if you watch it.
Now, imagine if this program portrayed Islamic beliefs in such a distorted and crude light. It’s highly unlikely any TV station would choose to do that!
So why is it that TV shows openly mock Christianity but rarely other religions? It’s because of the message of Christianity! You see, we should expect this. The Apostle Paul, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, tells us that the things of God are foolishness to those who don’t know Christ: “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14). They mock what they don’t—and can’t—understand because of their spiritual blindness. And our Western culture is so far removed from God’s Word and the gospel that nothing is sacred anymore. Romans 1 tells us that people who reject God will suppress the truth in unrighteousness.
We also know that we’re in a spiritual battle. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12). We need to keep this in the forefront of our minds—we as Christians are part of a raging spiritual battle. So seeing Christianity and Christian beliefs mocked really shouldn’t be surprising—though this new TV show is an illustration of the increasing intolerance of the Christian worldview in an increasingly secularized culture.
We can use shows like this as touchpoints with the culture. In Acts 17, Paul used a pagan altar to proclaim Christ to the Greeks and some believed. We can do the same thing. We can reference things in our culture—like this show—and use them to point people back to the truth of God’s Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

From Answers in Genesis Ken Ham
Muslims Coming to Christ Through God’s Word
by Ken Ham on January 21, 2016
From a human perspective, it’s very easy to feel discouraged in this day and age. It seems that no matter where we look around the world, there’s pain, suffering, and war. Our world longs for peace, but from a human viewpoint it seems hard (impossible, really) to find.

It’s important to remember that death and suffering was never originally part of God’s design. Everything was originally created “very good” (Genesis 1:31). It was Adam and Eve’s sin that brought death and suffering into God’s creation. The pain and suffering we see around us is a direct result of the rebellion of Adam and the continuing rebellion of his descendants.
We also need to remember that, even in the midst of pain, God is sovereign over circumstances. I’m reminded of a verse from Genesis, “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive” (Genesis 50:20). Right now in the Middle East, the radical Muslim group ISIS is terrorizing Christians, putting many of them to death. The horrors ISIS is inflicting on men, women, and children seems unfathomable to us in the West, yet this is a daily reality for many people. Well, out of these horrors God is working.
Christian aid groups working among refugees in Iraq and other places are reporting how God is using unimaginable pain to bring people to Christ. One ministry leader in Iraq reports that the demand for Bibles and information about Christ is so great they can barely keep up. He says people are “just sick of Islam. People are very hungry to know about Christ . . . As terrifying and horrifying as ISIS is, they did us a great favor because they came and have shown them all the killing, saying that it’s all in the Koran verses. So now we don’t have to say much, we just say the truth.”
This leader goes on to say, “We believe in the power of the Word of God. We don't have many preachers. We don't have many missionaries, but we have the Word of God that we're able to print, purchase and deliver to the people and their children.”
God’s Word is being used in mighty ways to bring people to Christ. This reminds me of Hebrews 4:12: “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” In the midst of all the pain and suffering, we can praise God that through the reading of His Word His gospel is advancing among Muslim peoples like never before.
AiG has many Christian friends living in Muslim nations where they are using apologetics resources to give a defense of the Christian faith and to present the gospel.
Now, this world wants peace and, to them, it seems hard to find. But the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6) has already come and given true peace! You see, true peace doesn’t come from a cessation of war—history clearly shows there will always be something that troubles the human heart in this sin-cursed universe. True peace comes from knowing the Prince of Peace and recognizing that He has overcome the world (John 16:33). It comes from knowing that our biggest problem—the sin that separates us from God—has been taken care of by Christ’s death and resurrection. We can have peace for now and eternity through Jesus Christ and what He has done. One day, those who are Christians will live forever with the Lord where there will be no more death or suffering:
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. (Revelation 21:4)

India blocking aid to Nepal
Franklin Graham added 3 new photos.
It appears India is trying to bully Nepal into changing its constitution. Basically the border between India and Nepal has been closed with no fuel, food, or building supplies coming into Nepal. India could resolve this and open the border if they would. Over 300,000 people who lost their homes in the earthquake last spring are facing unbelievable hardships. Families are living in plastic shelters with no heat, and temperatures in the mountains are plummeting to below 0 °F. People have frozen to death, and there will be more deaths unless things change. Samaritan's Purse just flew in a 747-load of winter coats, shoes, blankets and supplies (taken to higher elevations by helicopter and distributed in these blue duffle bags) to help. Pray that India will lift the blockade.
